Country Line Dance:

Pairs around the room, progressing counter-clockwise.

Man stands on inside, woman on outside. Both face line-of-dance.

Cape position:
Man's right hand holds woman's right hand just outside her right shoulder.
Man's left hand holds woman's left hand in front of his left shoulder.

Men's and ladies' parts are described separately:

MEN:

grapevine (same for ladies)
1. left foot steps to left
2. right foot steps to left behind left foot
3. left foot steps to left
4. kick with right foot

Hands are lifted while turning the ladies but do not have to be let go
5. right foot steps to right
6. left foot steps to right behind right foot (or steps in place)
7. right foot steps to right turning 1/4 turn to right
8. kick with left foot

Hands are lifted while turning the ladies but do not have to be let go
9. left foot steps to left returning men to originally position
10. right foot steps to left behind left foot (or steps in place)
11. left foot steps to left
12. kick with right foot

Drop left hands. Men's foot work is done in place for this move
13. right foot steps
14. left foot steps
15. right foot steps
16. kick with left foot

Moves are now the same for both partners
17. step down on left moving forward
18. chug with right foot
19. step down on right moving forward
20. chug with left foot

grapevine (moving slightly backwards)
21. left foot steps to left (back)
22. right foot steps to left being left foot
23. left foot steps to left (back)
24. kick with right foot

LADIES:

grapevine (same for men)
1. left foot steps to left
2. right foot steps to left behind left foot
3. left foot steps to left
4. kick with right foot

Hands are lifted while turning but do not have to be let go
5. right foot steps to right starting what will be a 3/4 turn to right
6. left foot steps to right continuing turn
7. right foot steps to right completing turn
8. kick with left foot

Hands are lifted while turning but do not have to be let go
9. left foot steps to left starting what will be a 1-1/4 turn to left
10. right foot steps to left continuing turn
11. left foot steps to left completing turn
12. kick with right foot

Drop left hands.
Women turn 1 1/2 turns around.
They will be back in original starting position.

13. right foot steps to right starting turn
14. left foot steps to right continuing turn
15. right foot steps to right completing turn
16. kick with left foot (rejoin left hands)

Moves are now the same for both partners
17. step down on left moving forward
18. chug with right foot
19. step down on right moving forward
20. chug with left foot

grapevine (moving slightly backwards)
21. left foot steps to left (back)
22. right foot steps to left being left foot
23. left foot steps to left (back)
24. kick with right foot

Dance begins again

Chug is similar to a hop.
Chug with right foot means that the right leg is in the air bent at knee and a hop is done on your left leg.
